Master Keyed Systems
ASSA Master Keyed Systems incorporates patented keys and mechanisms for maximum protection against unauthorised key duplication as well as 5 and 6 pin tumblers with anti-picking features. ASSA Twin Combi 5800 and ASSA 4800 have high physical security which includes hardened steel inserts for drill resistance and sidebar mechanisms giving resistance to picking. Whilst the ASSA Flexcore Plus has medium physical security but also includes anti-picking features. All ASSA keys are heavy duty and made from hard-wearing nickel silver. Other Cylinder Functions A1 & B1 - Classroom Function; The classroom function makes it possible to only rotate the thumbturn in one direction this only allows the thumb turn to unlock the door. This is to ensure that someone inside a room cannot lock anybody out but can always escape in an emergency. The cylinder comes with a clutch release, this ensures that somebody in the room cannot prevent a key holder from entering by holding the thumbturn. C1 - Clutch Release Function; The clutch function is designed to prevent somebody on the inside of the door from holding the turn and locking key holders out. When the key is inserted the thumbturn on the other side is disengaged allowing the door to be unlocked. DA1 - Dual Action Function; The dual action function allows a key to be left in the keyway internally whilst access can still be obtained externally. This function is not universally available across the industry and is especially suitable for residential care homes. |
