CAD Engineer 

Job description 
Eagledale is an architectural metalworker, specialising in bespoke secondary metalwork. We take on a variety of projects, including balconies, stairs, balustrades, gates and railings. We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD engineer to join our team. 
 
Duties will include: 
Using Solidworks to produce high quality, accurate models & drawings for use in manufacture and fitting both in house and by external suppliers. 
Adapting designs to suit the needs of the client 
Collate and prepare accurate bills of materials using Microsoft Excel. 
Liaise with manufacture and fitting teams to continuously improve quality of drawings. 
Support manufacture and fitting teams with additional information as necessary. 
Assist in accurately surveying sites. 
 
The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be thorough and have excellent attention to detail. They will be practically minded and be able to apply thought and reasoning to understanding the designs and communicating design intent. They will have a good understanding of maths, in particular geometry. They will have good communication skills in order to build good relationships, with the manufacture and fitting teams. 
 
Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The role is based at our premises on the Binley Industrial Estate, Coventry. 
 
Skills/Qualifications Required: 
Essential Skills & Qualifications: 
3 Years experience of Solidworks with good knowledge of weldments 
Driving Licence 
Advantageous Skills & Qualifications: 
Previous experience of architectural metalwork 
CSCS Card 
 
The role will require a CSCS card to visit and measure sites. If the successful candidate does not hold a CSCS card, they will be required to attain this qualification and card within the first few weeks of employment. All required training for this will be provided.
